And Yusuf Was His Name….

I’m your Venus, I’m your fire, at your desire- Shocking Blue

Venus came across a man

Gazing with her crystal eyes

Burning like a silver flame

Yearning with desire

She’s got it, yeah baby she’s got it

I’m your Venus, I’m your fire

At your desire

This stranger looked into her face

Her beauty encompassing the view

But looking beyond her, he was

Just like no-one else had

He’s got it, yeah baby, he’s got it

I am Yusuf, I desire Al Ma’rifa

Venus fell into a swoon

Yusuf’s words had made her mad

Mad with the love of Majnun

For what this man had

He’s got it, yeah baby, he’s got it

I am Yusuf, I desire Al Ma’rifa

Stalking every step he took

Filling every mirror’s gaze

Venus could never leave him

And Yusuf was his name

He’s got it, yeah baby he’s got it

I am Yusuf, I desire Al Ma’rifa

Venus begged into the night

Pleading for her Yusuf’s love

But every tear that he shed

Was for another Love

He’s got it, yeah baby, he’s got it

I am Yusuf, I desire Al Ma’rifa

Then a thought arose within

Venus had no other choice

If she loved what Yusuf loved

Maybe she would be his choice

She’s got it, yeah baby, she’s got it

I’m your Venus, I desire what you desire

Venus called upon The One

The One who held Yusuf’s heart

Then in the dark night she was

Smitten by His Glance

She’s got it, yeah baby, she’s got it

I’m your Venus, I’m on fire with Ma’rifa!

Deep into the skies and stars

Deeper than the seven seas

Yusuf and Venus behold Him

Just like no-one else had

They’ve got it, yeah baby, they’ve got it

They’re ingenious, they’re on fire with Ma’rifa

They’re ingenious, they’re on fire with Ma’rifa
